Q1. Lamp should glow when start switch S1 is made ON. lamp should go off after 15 sec automatically. lamp should go OFF immediately when start switch S1 is made OFF. Lamp should go OFF immediately also when reset switch S2 is made ON even before the expiry of 15 sec time.

Solution :-

above fig. shows the ladder diagram for the Q1.
As in the problem statement the lamp should glow immediately as soon as the S1 is pressed and remain on for 15 sec and go off also when reset is pressed, so in first rung of program we have used one NO contact for the start and one NC contact in series with the ONdelay timer TON with preset value 15 sec.
in second rung of program one NO and one NC contact of traveling time and done bit address of timer is connected to the output coil, so we get the output ON for the 15 sec when the S1 is pressed first time and gets OFF after 15 sec because of NC contact with done bit connected in series.
